What a weekend! The weather was crazy awesome.
On Sunday, I enjoyed an all-day brunch with my friend Charlene. There was a Santa Ana, so as we were eating outside, everything was blowing everywhere. One of the umbrellas flew up to the roof and the chef at Crepes and Corks had to retrieve it, in the middle of flipping crepes.
Next, we had drinks at two restaurants closer to the water. I love daytime-drinking, and it was such a good day for just sipping and watching waves. (Remember how my dad said there’s always one day in January that has big waves? It was yesterday.) They don’t look huge here, but they were pretty sizeable in person.
I topped off my Sunday by having the best Mexican food ever at Casa Guadalajara in Old Town. My friend Nicole ate as sensibly as she could, but I ordered a carne asada burrito and I wasn’t sorry.
What did you do this weekend?
P.S. I also saw The King’s Speech with Colin Firth. It was sooooooo good—you must see it!!
