I’ve been interviewing for jobs in the downtown area this week. This morning, I was near the spot where my great-grandma was born, so I went and took a picture. Technically, her family lived on a ranch, but they had a Victorian house in town, and we know she was born in “the townhouse.” It’s now an inn.
Actually…I’m not sure. The inn’s web site says my great-great-grandpa bought the house in 1900, but his daughter, my great-grandma, was born two years before that, in 1898. Either my great-great-grandpa had a temporary house first, or the inn mixed up a few dates. The latter is more likely, because they also combined the names of two of his ranches, so it’s definitely possible they don’t have their facts completely straight.
Anyway, kinda cool! Maybe this is where she was born!
