I took 4 ballet classes last week, lifted some weights, and went running once. But I’ve decided if I want to look any different than I do now, I really need to stop eating unlimited quantities of everything. I mean, really—just a little self-control could go a long way.
At my parents’ house, I eat and drink a lot more than I normally do. Everything is here that I try not to buy when I live on my own: rolls, muffins, butter, mayo, wine, cookies, potato chips, cream-based soups, bacon bits, sour cream, salami, etc.
And now the holiday snacking season is upon us. Cookies, cupcakes, weirdo fruity breads, See’s Candies, fudge, brownies, cake, pie, mimosas….
What is one to do? Start a food diary and sew it to my arm? Put a surveillance camera over the food? Help!
